Pranayama, Meditation, Mudra & Mantra
Yoga is Far More than a Movement
Yoga is far more than physical movement. At Peace & Prana, breath, meditation, mudra and mantra are woven into practice to support greater awareness, steadiness and connection — always introduced in an accessible way and adapted to the individual.
Sessions may include:
Pranayama (breathwork) | Meditation | Yoga Nidra | Mantra chanting
Mudra | Guided relaxation | Deep rest practices | Nervous-system regulation techniques
These practices may be woven into classes, workshops, 1:1 sessions and future retreats.

Pranayama (Breathwork)
Pranayama is the yogic practice of working consciously with the breath. From gentle breath awareness to traditional techniques such as Nadi Shodhana, Bhramari and Ujjayi, practices can be used to encourage calm, focus and a deeper connection between breath, body and mind.
Techniques are taught progressively and within each person’s comfortable capacity. Some stronger practices are not suitable for everyone, so individual health needs are always considered.
Meditation
Meditation offers space to slow down, notice and reconnect. Practices may include breath awareness, mindfulness, guided meditation, loving-kindness, body scanning, visualisation or traditional yogic meditation.
There is no requirement to “empty the mind”. The practice is simply an invitation to meet the present moment with greater awareness, patience and compassion.

Mudra
Mudras are traditional yogic gestures, most commonly made with the hands and fingers, used alongside breathwork, meditation or mantra. They can provide a simple point of focus and help bring intention and awareness into practice.
Peace & Prana introduces selected mudras in a grounded, accessible way, with respect for their roots within Indian yogic traditions.
Mantra
Mantra is the practice of repeating a sacred sound, word or phrase, silently or aloud, to steady attention and deepen meditation. Practice may include traditional Sanskrit mantra, japa (repetition) and gentle chanting.
Mantra is always offered as an invitation rather than an expectation, with context and respect for the traditions from which it comes.

These practices can be explored individually or woven into asana, restorative yoga and 1:1 sessions. No previous experience is needed.
